In this film , although the beginning and the end seems similar , kihachi remains to be a traveling entertainer , shinkichi and her mother remains in the town , otsune follows kihachi again , the relationships among the characters are no longer the same . therefore i think it is wrong for some people to say that ozu s films lack progression 以此片为例，虽然片首和片尾都很相似，都是说剧团班主来到小镇和离开小镇，但是在这一来一回间，戏中人物无论在精神或心理上都已经不再是同一个人了。
