But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you , then those whom you let remain of them will become as splinters in your eyes and as thorns in your sides , and they will trouble you in the land in which you are dwelling 55倘若你们不把那地的居民从你们面前赶出去，所容让存留的居民必要成为你们眼中的刺，肋下的荆棘，也必在你们所住的地上扰害你们。
Then you may be certain that the lord your god will not go on driving these nations out from before you ; but they will become a danger and a cause of sin to you , a whip for your sides and thorns in your eyes , till you are cut off from this good land which the lord your god has given you 你们要确实知道、耶和华你们的神、必不再将他们从你们眼前赶出他们却要成为你们的网罗、机槛、肋上的鞭、眼中的刺直到你们在耶和华你们神所赐的这美地上灭亡。
