2001年10月在王朗自然保护区内设立了3个定位研究样地和4个临时样地，通过多次现场采样与室内实验分析，测定了白桦林、岷江冷杉林、紫果云杉林、绣线菊-羊茅群落、羊茅群落及高山柳灌木丛等6种不同植物群落内土壤微生物三大类群数量、功能微生物数量、土壤养分，并在固定样地内使用埋袋法进行了三个埋藏深度的凋落物分解袋试验，初步研究了枝条、阔叶、针叶等凋落物组分在不同分解阶段所含养分的动态变化。
